Pin Hex Security Cap Screw (Din 912 with Pin) are available from Fastenright and are tamper-resistant fixings requiring special driver bits to fix and remove.
They are suitable for high torque applications and ideal for situations requiring medium security and where the fixing needs to be removed for maintenance.
Designed to reduce cam-out, which can occur in other drives such as Phillips and 2-Hole Drives, there is, therefore, less risk of damaging the drive, screw heard or the application. The hex drive also allows better torque compared to more conventional screw heads.
Pin Hex Cap Screws offer a medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost.
Within the industry Pin Hex security screws are also referred to by other names including Hex Pin, Tamper Pin Hex, Socket Screw with Pin as well as Din 912 with Pin.
Tamper Resistant Pin Hex Cap machine screws can be used with Security Wave Nuts, Shear Nuts, Kinmar Reusable Nuts, Kinmar Permanent Nuts, 4-Hole Nuts or Pin Torx Barrel Nuts for added security.
Available in A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard from Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
