Micro Lock Nuts, created to DIN 439B standard are host a reduced height in comparison to a Hexagon Full Nut.
Otherwise known as Half Nuts, these fasteners are commonly used with any male fastener with the same thread diameter and pitch. Commonly used to mate a stack or single part together.
They can be installed or removed using standard spanners or socket tools.
It is important to consider that the tensile strength of the nut should not be more than that of the bolt or mating component as this can cause thread ‘stripping’.
The Micro Lock Nut is typically manufactured from Steel Grade 8, A2 and A4 Stainless Steel, Brass and other materials such as Aluminium or Titanium.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2 to M3, with larger diameters also available.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
