FasPlas Pozi Pan Thread Forming Screws are designed specifically for use with soft materials such as Plastic, with three different thread angles available, 30°, 40° and 60°, for creating appropriate resistance levels in pre-drilled or moulded holes.
The 30°, 40° and 60° degree angles are designed to make the screw produce maximum engagement with the contact material, paired with a high pull performance to ensure the screw stays in its designated position.
Self Tapping Screws for Plastic work by forming a mating thread into the material into which it is being driven, which is different to thread cutting screws which are designed for harder materials and remove material instead of displacing it. Thread Forming Screws are perfect when a high level of resistance is needed in materials such as Plastic as it neatly forms a perfect fit which prevents movement or loosening.
As standard, these Pozi Pan Head Thread Forming Screws for Plastic come in Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available to order.
Available in sizes M1.8 to M7 as standard and a variety of lengths from 4mm to 70mm.
Non-standard sizes and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
