Unheaded Brass Insert for Plastic with Action-Press Installation
These unheaded brass inserts are designed for use within medium and soft thermoplastics like PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) and PP (Polyproplene), and are not recommended for use with hard thermoplastic or any type of thermosetting plastic or foam.
- Action press installation forces the insert into a drilled or moulded hole
- Easy insertion due to the angle of the exterior thread
- Acceptable level of direct torque resistance and pull-out resilience due to aforementioned angle
- Standardised internal thread sizes from M2 to M8
- High-quality brass
Unheaded Brass Inserts With Easy Insertion
These unheaded brass inserts are designed for use within medium and soft thermoplastics like PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) and PP (Polyproplene), and are not recommended for use with hard thermoplastic or any type of thermosetting plastic or foam. The installation process involved an action press which forces the insert into the drilled or moulded hole. The angle of the exterior thread cut permits easy insertion, and these brass inserts provide an acceptable level of direct torque resistance and pull-out resilience due to this same angle which now prevents movement.
The unheaded brass inserts with studs are made from high-quality brass, and can be inserted via action press into ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and PE (Polyethylene) just to name two. Available in five lengths from 4 to 12.7mm and with diameters from 3.7 to 10.2mm – as well as having standardised internal thread sizes from M2 to M8.
