High Tensile Strength Unheaded Brass Insert for Plastic
These unheaded brass inserts are designed for installation into hard thermosetting plastics using a mechanical press-in method.
- Mechanical press-in method requires no heat
- Machined slot allows the insert to compress, making the installation much easier
- Reasonable level of torque resistance and resilience to twisting
- Knurled expansion inserts can be inserted into drilled or moulded holes
- Anti-corrosive and conduct electricity well
Unheaded Brass Inserts with Knurled Expansion
These unheaded brass inserts are designed for installation into hard thermosetting plastics using a mechanical press-in method, without heat. During the insertion process, the machined slot allows the insert to compress, making the installation of the unheaded brass insert much easier.
When in position the insert expands to the original form, forcing the knurled surfaces into the plastic in a self-locking action and this action increments when a screw is inserted. These unheaded brass inserts offer a reasonable level of torque resistance and resilience to twisting. They are available in lengths from 3.9 to 12.6mm and have diamaters ranging from 3.2 to 9.5mm.
For thermosetting plastics, these knurled expansion unheaded brass inserts can be inserted into drilled or moulded holes and the high-quality brass is anti-corrosive, conducts electricity well and has high tensile strength.
