Slot Cut Headed Brass Inserts
These headed brass inserts are designed for use in all types of thermosetting plastics, and come in a variety of lengths, diameters and head sizes to suit a vast number of different applications.
Whilst they conduct electricity well, they also have a high tensile strength and offer a long working life due to their high corrosive resistance. They are inserted using a mechanical unheated press-in process either into a drilled or moulded hole.
The headed brass inserts have a slot cut through the head, which extends the length of the insert and terminating just before the base. The flexibility which this slot provides allows easy insertion, and once installed the insert returns to its original form, pressing the knurls into the thermosetting plastic to provide good torsion resistance and resilience to pull-out.
