6 Lobe Pin TX Button Head Security Barrel Nuts and Sex Bolts are two-way security fasteners which offer increased tamper resistance against vandals and thieves.

This security sex bolt, consisting of a male bolt and a female barrel nut, is a tamper-proof adaptation of the commonly known sex bolt – often referred to as a security barrel nut / bolt.

6 Lobe Pin TX Security Barrel Nuts and Sex Bolts host a domed Button Head with larger diameter for a clean and professional finish. They feature a barrel-shaped flange and protruding boss with an internal thread. The boss sits within the components being fastened, and the flange provides the bearing surface.

These components are suitable for higher torque applications and require a special driver bit for installation or removal. The 6 Lobe Pin TX drive feature is also available as a 2-Hole or Clutch drive for additional protection.

We offer the largest sizes of Pin Torx Barrel Nuts – M12 x 50 and M16 x 50 – which are widely used in the playground equipment industry.

They are suitable for a multitude of applications such as architectural stair casing and balustrade, furniture and signage, or those that require medium levels of security.

Available at Fastenright in Stainless Steel as standard, with thread sizes from M4 to M16. 6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Security Barrel Nuts & Sex Bolts are also available.
