6 Lobe Pin TX Security Grub Screws with Cup Point, otherwise known as Pin Torx Cup Point Set Screws, are tamper-resistant fixings often used to join two objects.
These grub screws host a full external thread and Pin TX drive that offers medium security resistance against vandals and thieves. Pin TX drives do not cam-out unlike traditional drive types, allowing higher torque to be achieved.
Designed to exert compressional force through the tip during installation, Cup Point Grub Screws feature a concave hollowed end that cuts into the base surface. They are the most common form of grub screw – typically used when a point that penetrates the surface is not desirable.
This reusable component is a great choice for applications that require frequent maintenance – fastened using a special 6 Lobe Pin TX screwdriver, wrench or insert bit – also available at Fastenright.
6 Lobe Pin TX Security Cup Point Grub Screws are manufactured from Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request.
