Pin Hex Security Grub Screws Flat Point, typically in accordance with DIN 913 / ISO 4026 with pin, offer a cost-effective security solution with medium tamper resistance against vandals and thieves.
Otherwise known as Pin Hex Flat Point Set Screws, these components host a hexagonal drive, a full external thread and a flat tip – requiring a special Pin Hex wrench or insert bit for installation.
The flat point aligns well against ground flats, and is often used against a thin wall or soft material. It causes the least damage to the shaft and target housing compared to other set screw types, making it ideal for applications that require regular adjustment or maintenance.
These Pin Hex Set Screws offer greater resistance to cam-out compared to other standard drive types, enabling higher torque to be achieved.
Flat Point Pin Hex Security Grub Screws are manufactured from 304 / A2 Stainless Steel and 316 / A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials available on request such as Aluminium and Titanium.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M1.6 to M20, with lengths up to 190mm. Imperial UNC / UNF threads can also be supplied.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
