Plastic Hex Socket Cap Screws, often referred to as Allen head screws, are manufactured DIN 912 standard or ISO 4762. They host a hexagonal recess, driven using an Allen key or hex insert bit – typically more efficient than standard slotted screw fasteners due to their increased resistance to cam out.
The cylindrical socket cap head is a modern alternative to older hex headed bolts or set screws, widely adopted in modern machinery and commonly used in die fixing or clamping assemblies.
Note: The dimensions of the Plastic Hex Socket Cap Screws are considered DIN equivalents – they are close to the normal standard but may not be followed as strictly as their steel counterparts. Socket Cap Screws DIN 912 are also available at Fastenright.
DIN 192 Plastic Hex Socket Cap Screws are manufactured from Nylon 66 (PA66) as standard – offering high strength, excellent wear resistance and a lower water absorption rate.
Provided in a White (natural) colour as standard. A variety of dyed colours are also available on request, giving a colour matched finish to any application or assembly.
Available at Fastenright in thread diameters from M3 to M12 as standard, with lengths starting from 5mm onwards. Minimum order quantities apply.
Non-standard sizes, materials and colours are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
