Molybdenum Flat Washers, made to DIN 125 Form A standard or ISO 7089, offer even distribution of clamping forces by spreading the load across a larger surface area – relieving pressure and preventing damage to the installation surface.
Otherwise referred to as Molybdenum Plain Washers, they host a circular design and smooth exterior to minimise friction between fastening components e.g. Molybdenum Hex Socket Cap Screws and Molybdenum Hexagon Full Nuts.
This, combined with the high strength and toughness of Molybdenum, helps to reduce wear and prolong their functional lifespan. Molybdenum has one of the highest melting points of all naturally occurring elements – ideal for the most demanding high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
Flat Washers are often used as spacers in applications that require a tight fixing, or to cover up oversized holes and imperfections in the fastening material.
As standard, DIN 125A Molybdenum Flat Washers are available with diameters from 3.2mm (M3) to 8.4mm (M8). Non-standard sizes are available to order on request.
Alternative materials are also available including Brass and Nylon, as well as other exotic materials such as Inconel, Aluminium and Titanium.
Non-standard sizes, grades and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
