Nimonic Screws, Fasteners and Fixings
Nimonic alloys primarily consist of more than 50% Nickel and 20% Chromium, with the addition of elements such as Aluminium and Titanium.
This family of superalloys host good strength while offering impressive levels of corrosion, oxidation, and creep resistance at elevated temperatures.
Developed in the 1940’s, this alloy was originally used in combustion engines for valves and other components.
Nimonic is now widely utilised across a range of industries e.g. nuclear, automotive and aerospace – often for aircraft parts, gas turbine components and applications which are subject to high heat and pressure.
Nimonic Alloy 105 is one of several grades we supply here at Fastenright. This provides higher strength compared to lower numbered grades and good creep resistance up to 950°C.
Other types are also available including Nimonic 75, 80/80A, 81, 86, 90, 105, 263 and 901. Each grade of Nimonic offers slightly different strength, corrosion and creep resistant properties.
