Brass Wing Nuts German Form, made to DIN 315 D standard, feature two flat projections or wings either side of an internally threaded conical section.
The projections host a rounded design unlike the rectangular American Form Wing Nuts. This provides a more natural grip which enables tightening by hand without the need for additional tools.
These components are suitable for use with any mating bolt or screw, but to create a symmetrical fastener that can be adjusted from either end, they should be used alongside German Form Wing Screws.
Designed for low torque applications, Brass Wing Nuts are often used for decorative fixings, as well as applications that require direct adjustment or frequent assembly and disassembly.
Brass fasteners offer anti-rust and corrosion resistant properties, making them suitable for internal and external use. They are also non-magnetic while providing some electrical conductivity.
DIN 315 D German Form Brass Wing Nuts are available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M20, with other sizes available to order.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
