Pin Pentagon Button Self Tapping Security Screws are tamper-resistant and offer a high level of security at an acceptable cost.
The pentagon-shaped drive is intended to stop the use of Torx and Hex pin bits for the removal of these screws, as well as more standardised bits. This reduces the risk of theft or vandalism.
At Fastenright, we will only provide bits to customers who have purchased the screws directly from us.
The self-tapping nature of this security screw allows it to be tapped into its own hole, within limits surrounding hardness and depth, in metal or plastics. There are fewer limits if it is being self tapped into wood or soft plastics.
Having a button head allows the exertion of more torque during installation.
These fasteners are often used in high-value applications, within electronics and infrastructure in open areas. The drive is incredibly user-friendly and reduces wobble.
