Polyoxymethylene Screws, Fasteners and Fixings
Polyoxymethylene is also referred to as acetal or Delrin, and is a thermoplastic that is regularly utilised in high-performance parts that demand high durability, high stability and low friction.
Known for its hardness, strength and rigidity, Polyoxymethylene often finds itself in glasswork, automotive components, household items and mechanical and electric engineering.
It boasts a number of advantages, including high heat resistance and good conductivity of electricity, as well as a low friction coefficient and low water absorption. There are disadvantages too, in that it is flammable and is subject to degrading when exposed to UV.
