Slotted Countersunk Captive Screws are the perfect combination between a flat-headed countersunk screw and a captive shank, also referred to as a reduced thread.
These components are used to fasten sheet metal or captive panels, held in place between the head of the screw and a Threaded Captive Washer. This prevents full removal of the screw from its housing and creates a self-retaining fastener.
Manufactured from A2 / 304 Stainless Steel and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel as standard. Slotted Countersunk Captive Screws can also be supplied in other materials including Titanium, Aluminium, Brass, and many more.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M1.6 to M10, with lengths up to 120mm. Optional thread locking patches can also be supplied to improve vibration resistance.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
We supply an extensive range of Captive Screws here at Fastenright, all of which comply with the EU machine safety directive regarding safety guards.
d and L1 dimensions can be to customer specification.
