High Corrosion Resistant Type B Spring Lock Washers are a common part used to prevent components in an assembly from loosening, and provide protection from potential loosening that has would result from vibration or corrosion.
They are created to DIN 127 B standard and have tight tolerances for when they are required to be ‘narrow’ or ‘wide’ to fit a specific size of bolt. They are intended to provide a malleable spacer with vibration-resistant properties.
Duplex Stainless Steel Spring Lock Washers are known for their high yield strength, which is double that of the tempered strength of standard austenitic stainless steels. They also hold enhanced corrosion resistance and lend themselves well to applications involving stress-corrosion cracking and erosion.
A5 Steel Spring Lock Washers are relatively resistant to corrosion due to the fact that they are a titanium alloy, and can be found in constructions that are exposed to chlorides and sulfur dioxide due to their resistance to corrosion.
1.4529 HCR Grade A8 Steel hosts increased molybdenum content, which improves the corrosion resistance, resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Often referred to as super austenitic stainless steel, it can be used in a wide range of applications including salt production, oil delivery systems, fire extinguishing systems and more.
Spring washers are generally used within static or dynamic loads. In a static application, the washer retains loads, whereas in a dynamic application, the washer functions as flexing spring.
Type B Spring Lock Washers are available in a range of materials including Duplex Stainless Steel, 1.4529 HCR (Grade A8) Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel.
Available at Fastenright in a range of sizes, with specials available to order. Specials are also available in the material Super Duplex Stainless Steel.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
