6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Thread Rolling Screws, typically in accordance with DIN 965 (Form M) / ISO 14581 (Form ME), offer medium level security against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost.
Fastened using a special 6 Lobe Pin TX insert bit, these components combine the additional protection of a hexalobular pin drive with the benefits of a thread rolling screw.
They are designed to be driven into a pilot hole without the need for thread tapping as a separate process. Their unique triblobular or three-lobe thread shape forms its own thread during installation, pushing excess material into relief areas of the screw for increased retention.
Thread rolling screws are intended for use with sheet metals, but they can be used with other malleable materials. They also help to avoid loose chips often caused by other thread cutting processes.
The countersunk head enables a flush fitting when installed into a countersink for an aesthetically pleasing finish.
6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Thread Rolling Screws are typically manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel and Steel Zinc Plated as standard, with Steel Black Plated also available on request.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2 to M8, with lengths up to 50mm.
