Thin Type All Metal Self Locking Nuts are a one piece locknut with high resistance to corrosion and extreme temperatures. This enables use in volatile environments with temperatures ranging from -200°C to 400°C, depending on the material and finish.
The self locking feature ensures that the bolt is not damaged and provides high resistance to vibration. These advantages are obtained by the de-pitched, self-locking slot found on the turret portion of this nut.
During installation, the slotted turret section reverts to its original form and the slot grips the shank or thread of the bolt for a secure fixing. Standard Type All Metal Self Locking Nuts are also available at Fastenright.
Manufactured as standard from 304 / A2 Stainless Steel, 316 / A4 Stainless Steel, and Steel grades 5, 8 and 10. Non-standard materials such as Brass, Bronze and Titanium are available on request.
These reusable Thin Type All Metal Self Locking Nuts are available at Fastenright in thread sizes M4 to M45. UNC / UNF / BSW / BSF imperial threads can also be supplied.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
