Circlips for Radial Assembly

Circlips for radial assembly are available in a range of designs.

There is the Bowed E-Ring for external use in shafts, which is radially applied and provides a large shoulder on a small shaft diameter. Their bowed construction permits for a resilient take-up of end-play. There is also the E-Ring, also for external use in shafts which also provide a large shoulder on a reduced shaft diameter. A reinforced version of the E-Ring Circlips is also available, providing greater gripping strength and higher R.P.M.

Bowed Rings are also for external use in shafts, and use a lock-in groove by means of two prongs and functions as a spring as well as a shoulder.

There are also Kliprings, also for shaft use, which are applied radially as a heavy-duty retainer which can be assembled and disassembled with ordinary slip-joint pliers.

There are several other forms of Circlip for radial assembly, including Crescent Circlips for securing against impact and vibration, Interlocking Circlips, which secure against extremely high R.P.M and heavy thrusts, and C-Type and Bowed C-Type Rings also.
