Deep Head Knurled Slotted Captive Thumb Screws Cone Point

Deep Head Knurled Slot Captive Screws with Dog Cone Point are a unique form of Captive Screw that host a dog point below the thread with a cone point tip.

The dog point fits into a circular locating hole while the cone point tip penetrates the surface of the target material, ensuring the screw is centralised and secure once installed.

They feature a larger head length and knurled outer edge, providing additional grip to allow part installation by hand – tightened using a standard slotted screwdriver.

Captive Screws are often combined with Threaded Captive Washers to form a self retaining fastener. The washer is fastened past the threaded section of the screw which prevents full removal from the target housing – ideal for applications that require maintenance.

Deep Head Knurled Slot Captive Screws with Dog Cone Point are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request.

Available now in thread sizes 4-40 to 10-32 as standard, with lengths from 1/2″ to 1″. A selection of metric sizes are also available, with bespoke sizes available to order.
