Left Hand Thread ACME Threaded Rods, or Left Hand ACME Lead Screws, are a type of fully threaded fastener ideal for generating power through motion.
This component is particularly effective for converting rotary motion into linear motion – typically used for lead screws or power screws in industrial applications as a result e.g. CNC machinery.
They feature a trapezoidal thread form, similar to Left Hand Trapezoidal Threaded Rods but with a slightly reduced thread angle of 29° and a thread height that is half the pitch.
Designed for use with Left Hand Hexagon ACME Threaded Nuts and Left Hand Hexagon ACME Threaded Connector Nuts which are driven in the opposite direction to right-hand threaded nuts. This reverse threading is beneficial for applications where a right-hand threaded component may become loose over time.
These Left Hand Thread ACME Threaded Rods host high strength for increased load bearing capabilities and wear resistance – suitable for use in high torque applications.
