Left-Hand Thread Hexagon ACME Threaded Connector Nuts

Left Hand Thread Hexagon ACME Threaded Connector Nuts, otherwise known as Hex Coupling Nuts or Extension Nuts, are used to combine two male threaded screws for the creation of a longer assembly.

Specifically designed for use with Left Hand Thread ACME Threaded Rods, they host a strong internal ACME thread and hexagonal shaped body – requiring a standard hex wrench for installation and removal.

These left-hand threaded nuts, sometimes called reverse threaded nuts, are driven in the opposite direction to conventional nuts. This can prevent self-loosening in certain situations whilst creating incompatibility with right-hand threaded components.

Featuring a 29° thread angle, the internal ACME thread is a strong symmetrical thread form to support heavy loads and allow higher torque to be achieved.

Left Hand Thread Hexagon ACME Threaded Connector Nuts are manufactured from Grade 2 Steel as standard. Other materials and finishes are available to order.
