Micro Socket Set Screws Cone Point DIN 914

Micro Socket Set Screws with Cone Point, made to DIN 914 standard, have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit, more efficient to install than slotted screw products as the hex socket drive has more resistance to cam out and can be used with power drivers, enabling faster use and higher torque to be achieved.

Set screws are used in applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. These Micro Socket Set Screws with Cone Point, or Socket Grubscrews, are ‘headless’, so there is no head projecting past the major diameter, making this a fully threaded fastener. The socket drive of the set screw is turned until it meets the inner object, then exerting a pressure on the inner object creating a clamping force.

Available as standard in Hardened Steel 45H, A2 / 304 Stainless Steel and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel. Other materials are available on request including Brass, Aluminium and Titanium.

These set screws are available at Fastenright in thread sizes M1.6 to M3 as standard, with non-standard sizes available on request.
