Micro Diameter Spring Pins, created to DIN 1481 standard, have a single slot along the length of the pin that is open, enabling the pin to reduce in diameter and be driven into a hole. Available in heavy duty form, the spring (tension) pins are also available to order in light duty form.
Note: The shear strength of the spring pin can be strengthened by inserting a smaller diameter spring pin inside a larger spring pin (inserting the larger pin first).
Micro Spring Pins, or Spring Tension Pins are available as standard in Spring Steel and A2 Stainless Steel. Other materials are available upon request including A4 Stainless Steel, Brass, Aluminium and Titanium.
Sizes range from M1 to M3 as standard, with larger diameters also available from Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
