Molybdenum Hex Socket Cap Screws (DIN 912)

Molybdenum Hex Socket Cap Screws, in accordance with DIN 912 standard / ISO 4762, are commonly referred to as Allen Head bolts due to their internal hex drive – fastened using an Allen key or hex wrench.

The hexagonal drive recess offers higher resistance to cam-out compared to traditional Phillips and slotted drives. This enables use with power drivers that can generate higher torque and significantly speed up installation and removal.

Hex Socket Cap Screws feature a cylindrical shaped head, with the height of the head being equal to the diameter of the thread. They often host a knurled outer edge that provides increased grip and allows part installation by hand.

Molybdenum fasteners have an extremely high melting point, as well as high thermal conductivity and a low rate of thermal expansion – an ideal choice for heat-resistant devices or high temperature applications.

Molybdenum Hex Socket Cap Screws to DIN 912 are available at Fastenright in thread sizes from M3 to M8 as standard, with lengths from 6mm to 35mm.
