Pin Hex Socket Cap Thread Rolling Screws combine the unique capabilities of a thread rolling screw with the additional security of a hexagon pin drive.
Typically in accordance with DIN 912 standard / ISO 4762, these components are intended for use with sheet metals and require a Pin Hex key wrench or insert bit for installation.
Thread rolling screws can be driven into a pilot hole without the need for thread tapping. They feature a unique trilobular or three-lobe thread shape which forms the internal thread and pushes excess material into relief areas of the fastener.
This increases resistance to vibration and reduces the chance of the screw becoming loose. The rolled thread also helps to avoid loose chips caused by other thread cutting processes.
Pin Hex Socket Cap Thread Rolling Screws can be used with various metals and hole types, as well as other malleable materials.
Manufactured from Steel Zinc Plated as standard, with Steel Black Plated also available on request. Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M4 to M8, with lengths up to 50mm.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
