These Pin Pentagon Countersunk Self Tapping Security Screws are created to ease the stress and worry of those worried about vandalism and thieves as the security screw can only be removed via the use of a special bit.
The countersunk head allows the screw to sit flush in whichever surface it’s placed in, allowing it to be covered by a cap or other materials and further improving security features within the fixing.
In metal or plastics, the self-tapping style of these screws allows them to tap their own hole – within reasonable limits regarding the housing material’s hardness and depth. As an example, self-tapping screws can self-tap into wood or soft plastics easier than harder materials.
Requiring a specific bit, the Pin Pentagon Countersunk Self Tapping Security Screws host an improved security level – making it extremely hard for vandals to remove the screw.
Designed to keep Torx pin, Hex pin and other tamper resistants bits out of the drive, the screw is unable to be loosened or removed with more standardised security bits.
For added security, Fastenright only sell security bits if the corresponding screw has been purchased from us.
Available from Fastenright in No.2 to No.14 gauge, with lengths from 3/16″ to 2″.
