Plastic Wing Nuts German Form, created to DIN 315 standard, are often called Wingnuts or Butterfly Nuts and host two large ‘wings’ or ears – designed to make this nut easy to fasten without the need for additional tools.
German Type Butterfly Nuts host longer and more rounded wings when compared to the American Type, providing a larger surface area for easier installation and a reduced risk of injury on a sharp edge or corner.
Ideal for use alongside Plastic Wing Screws German Form (DIN 316) to create a fastener that is easily adjustable from either end. They can also be partnered with any Plastic & Nylon Screw featuring a matching thread.
Plastic Wing Nuts German Form to DIN 316 are manufactured from Nylon or Polyamide (PA) as standard – a lightweight, stainless material that is both weather and wear resistant.
Supplied in a White (natural) colour as standard. They can be dyed in a wide variety of colours, providing a finished appearance to your chosen application or assembly.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes from M4 to M10 as standard, with others sizes available to order. Please note that minimum order quantities apply.
