Raised Countersunk Seal Screws with Under Head Seal are typically used in place of traditional gaskets – designed with a highly durable seal to prevent the leakage of fluids and gases when under pressure.
The green seal is permanently fused to the bearing surface of the head which compresses when fastened. This fills the gap between the underside of the head and counter sink for a secure gasket-type seal.
These components offer high reusability as the under head element does not shrink or dry out. In addition to providing excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and automotive fluids – including alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, oil, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluids – they also prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials.
Raised Countersunk Head Seal Screws with Under Head Seal are a cost-effective sealing solution that can be supplied with a much shorter lead time compared to standard o-ring seal screws.
