Raised Phillips Countersunk Captive Screws feature a raised head – installed into a countersink hole using a standard Phillips screwdriver or insert bit.
Featuring a reduced thread, or captive shank, these components are typically partnered with a Threaded Captive Washer. Once fastened, they cannot be fully removed from their housing. This helps to prevent loss or damage by creating a self-retaining fastener.
Raised Phillips Countersunk Reduced Thread Captive Screws conform to the EU Machine Safety Directive 2006 and are often found amongst sheet metal and captive panels which need to be retained for safety reasons.
Manufactured from A2 / 304 Stainless Steel and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel as standard. These components can be supplied in various materials on request, including Titanium, Aluminium, and Phosphor Bronze.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M1.6 to M10, with lengths from 8mm to 100mm. Optional thread locking patches are also available on request.
