Security 6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Head Captive Screws

Security 6 Lobe Pin TX Security Captive Screws with Countersunk Head host a tamper-proof Security Torx drive with pin – installed and removed using a 6 Lobe Pin TX wrench or insert bit.

Captive screws feature an unthreaded portion below the head, often referred to as the reduced shank with a smaller core diameter. Intended for use with Threaded Captive Washers, these components cannot be fully removed from their housing once installed to prevent loss or damage of fasteners.

Security 6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Captive Screws offer medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost. They are designed to conform to the EU Machine Safety Directive 2006 and are often used for safety guards and panels.

Manufactured from A2 / 304 Stainless Steel and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials available to order such as Aluminium and Titanium.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2.6 to M10, with lengths from 10mm to 80mm. UNC and UNF threads are also available. Optional thread locking patches can be supplied for increased vibration resistance.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
