Slotted Nylon Tipped Grubscrews

Slotted Nylon Tipped Grubscrews, otherwise known as Slotted Nylon Tip Set Screws, host an externally threaded body and deep slot drive for easy installation with a slotted screwdriver or insert bit.

They feature a soft Nylon point at the end of the set screw which compresses into the threads once installed. This creates friction within the threads that provides a self-locking effect to prevent loosening.

The Nylon insert offers electrical insulation properties while preventing damage to the shaft and target surface. Slotted Nylon Tipped Grubscrews are often utilised in applications that require a secure fixing – ideal for use in round shafts or against uneven surfaces.

Manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard.

Available now in thread sizes ranging from M2 to M10, with lengths from 3.8mm to 32.4mm as standard. Socket Nylon Tipped Grubscrews and Socket Brass Tipped Grubscrews are also available at Fastenright.

Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings – minimum order quantities apply.
