Socket Micro Profile Head Captive Screws

Socket Micro Profile Head Captive Screws, sometimes referred to as Hex Socket Cap Captive Screws with Special Low Head, host a hexagon drive and unique low profile head shape.

This special low profile head is designed for applications with limited clearance where standard raised head screws are not suitable. Once installed, they sit almost flush in the target housing to provide an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Captive screws feature a reduced shank below the head, making them ‘captive’ once installed to prevent any loss of fasteners. Often used for a range of applications, mainly to fix safety and inspection covers that require frequent maintenance.

The socket drive enables use in locations where externally driven fasteners are not appropriate – installed using a hex wrench or insert bit.

Socket Micro Profile Head Captive Screws are manufactured from A2 / 303 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials/finishes available including Steel Zinc and Nickel. These can all be black plated on request.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2 to M10 as standard, with lengths ranging from 8mm to 70mm. Low Cap Head Reduced Thread Captive Screws are also available.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings – minimum order quantities apply.
