FasPlas TX Flange Thread Forming Screws, also known as 6 Lobe or Star Drive, are designed to be installed into pre-drilled or moulded holes in plastic and other soft materials.
- TX / 6 Lobe Drive – high torque and cam-out resistance than regular Phillips / Pozi drives.
- 30° thread angle – 45° and 60° to order only.

When fixing screws to Metal, Wood and other hard materials it is relatively easy to form a tight, secure fit. When working with a less sturdy material such as Plastic, it can be more difficult. At a certain torque, the screw can start to strip the Plastic so it is important to use the right type of screw, such as the FasPlas TX Flange thread forming screw.
FasPlas TX Flange Self Tapping Screws for Plastic use a 30° thread angle to form a mating thread into the Plastic as they are driven rather than actually removing the material which ensures a strong pull-out resistance and leaving no mess after installation.
The FasPlas TX Flange Screw is designed with grooves in a six point pattern making it a superior choice over the Pozi or Phillips version as it is much more user friendly, offering a reduced incidence of slippage and cam-out. This in turn reduces the risk of damage to the tool, screw and application.
In addition, the flange head acts as a built in washer that allows the torque and clamping force to be spread over a wider surface area, as well as sitting flat on the surface of the material.
FasPlas TX Flange Thread Forming Screws come in a variety of sizes in a range of diameters and lengths. They are manufactured in different finishes – Zinc Steel, Black Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard.
