Brass Insert for Plastic and Thermoplastics
FasPlas IFP001 Unheaded Brass Insert for Plastic are designed to offer a strong reusable thread in a variety of thermoplastic materials. They are also available as a stud version on request.
- Can be installed in hard thermoplastics including PA – PPS – PBT – PC/ABS, medium thermoplastics such as ABS – PA – POM – PVC, and soft thermoplastics like PP – PE – HDPE
- Can be press-fitted into a pre-moulded or drilled hole
- Two bands with opposed helical knurls ensure exceptionally high torque load resistance
- Made from a top-quality brass which provides excellent tensile strength, along with outstanding corrosion resistance and great electrical conductivity

Opposed Knurled Insert for Plastic
The inserts can be installed in hard thermoplastics including PA – PPS – PBT – PC/ABS, medium thermoplastics such as ABS – PA – POM – PVC, and soft thermoplastics like PP – PE – HDPE. They can be press-fitted into a pre-moulded or drilled hole, or inserted by the machine operator during the moulding process. The two bands with opposed helical knurls ensure exceptionally high torque load resistance. To increase the torque and pull-out resistance, insertion by a thermal or ultrasonic process is recommended. These headless brass inserts are available in lengths from 4 to 15.9mm.
The stud version of these threaded inserts are ideal for use in a wide range of thermoplastic materials. They are made from a top-quality brass which provides excellent tensile strength, along with outstanding corrosion resistance and great electrical conductivity, making them ideal for many different applications. They come in eight different lengths between 4 and 15.9mm and with standardised internal threads between M2 and M12. The two bands of opposing herringbone knurls provide outstanding torsion resistance and excellent resilience against pull out. The studs can be inserted by an ultrasonic or thermal process and have the advantage that they can also be moulded in during the production process.
