Unheaded Brass Inserts for Cold-Set Installation

These unheaded brass inserts are made for cold-set installation in both medium and soft thermoplastics.

• Slit cut into the insert allows a degree of compression during the unheated installation procedure
• Self-locking procedure which provides acceptable tensile and rotational resistance
• Can be installed into both pre-drilled or moulded holes
• Standardised internal thread measurements are from M2 to M8
• Lengths from 4 to 12.7mm and with diameters from 3.5 to 10mm

Unheaded Brass Inserts With Compression Slit Cut

These unheaded brass inserts are made for cold-set installation in both medium and soft thermoplastics. The slit cut into the insert allows a degree of compression of this unheaded brass insert during the unheated installation procedure. Once in place, the expansion to its original form pushed the vanes into the plastic in a self-locking procedure which provides acceptable tensile and rotational resistance.

These vaned expansion inserts come in lengths from 4 to 12.7mm and with diameters from 3.5 to 10mm. The standardised internal thread measurements are from M2 to M8 and these unheaded brass inserts can be installed into both pre-drilled or moulded holes.
