Wood to Metal Dowels with Hex Shank

Wood-to-Metal Dowels with Hex Shank, otherwise known as Hanger Bolts with across flat, are a unique threaded fastener hosting two different thread types – a wood screw thread at one end, a machine thread at the other, with an unthreaded portion in between.

With no internal drive, the hexagonal shank between the threads enables installation with a standard spanner or wrench.

Typically used for suspending objects from timber such as electrical wiring and sheet metal, these Hanger Bolts are often found in furniture and a range of applications that require a wood-to-metal connection.

Available now in thread sizes from M3 to M12 as standard, in a wide range of lengths. The length of each side can vary, therefore please contact us for more information.

Manufactured from Steel Zinc plated, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard.
