These 2 Hole Security Screws have 2 holes drilled into the countersunk head, requiring a special insert bit to insert and remove. The holes can be drilled at different distances (between centres), therefore it is advisable to always purchase the screws and corresponding bits from the same supplier.
The security drive design makes these screws suitable for low to medium torque applications and ideal security fasteners for applications where maintenance is required.
- An economic tamper resistant screw
- Low / medium security resistance
- Reusable 2-way drive
- Usable for lower torque applications
Tamper Resistant 2-Hole (Pig nose) security screw, supplied in A2 Stainless Steel ar re-eusable security fixings, available off the shelf in stainless steel with other sizes and materials available to order.
The two pin drive is designed mainly to offer some security but mainly to maintain the aesthetics of the application it is been used with. The 2 Hole security drive is more prone to cam-out than other security screws such as Pin Hex security screws. Users should also be aware that when tightening the screw the drive bits are prone to bending or breaking after prolonged use and should plan to purchase additional drive bits as backup.
Tamper resistant 2 Hole Security screws offer a medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost , proving an economic and secure equilibrium. Generally used in areas where aesthetics is important. Within the industry 2 Hole security screws are also referred to by other names including Snake Eye, Pig Nose, Two Pin and Spanner Drive Screws.
