6-Lobe Pin Torx Button Head Security Machine Screws, often referred to as Star Pin Drive screws, Tamper Torx ®, Torx® Pin and Resistorx®, provide medium security and tamper resistance at a relatively low cost.
This 2-way reusable fixing is an ideal security fastener for applications where maintenance is required. The button head hosts a 6-point star-shaped screw head, with a centre pin, which resists standard torx bits – requiring a special key wrench or insert bit for installation.
It hosts a number of advantages, including reduced slippage compared to Philips and 2-Hole Drives. This reduces the risk of damage to drive tip, screw head or application, which in turn makes it cost effective to install and remove.
This economic, secure solution is able to be used in higher torque applications, and can be used alongside Pin TX Barrel Nuts, Security Wave Nuts, Shear Nuts, Kinmar Reusable Nuts, Kinmar Permanent Nuts or 4-Hole Nuts for added security.
6 Lobe Pin TX Button Security Machine Screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available to order on request.
Available now in thread sizes M2 to M12 as standard, as well as a range of Imperial sizes. We also supply a wide range of tamper proof screws here at Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
