6 Lobe Pin TX Security Grub Screws with Cone Point, or Pin Torx Cone Point Set Screws, are fully threaded tamper-proof fasteners designed to hold two or more objects together – typically used for permanent settings.
The Cone Point provides the highest torsional holding power of all grub screw types, preventing movement by penetrating the flat contact surface during installation. This is achieved using a special 6 Lobe Pin TX screwdriver, wrench or insert bit – also available at Fastenright.
These set screws can be fastened into both soft and hard surfaces, and are often used as a pivot point or adjusting screw where fine alterations are required.
The Pin TX drive offers medium security resistance and enables higher torque to be achieved without the risk of cam-out.
6 Lobe Pin TX Security Cone Point Grub Screws are manufactured from Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request.
Available now in thread sizes M1.6 to M24 as standard. Other sizes and a selection of Imperial Grub Screws are available to order.
