6 Lobe Pin TX Security Grub Screws with Dog Point, sometimes referred to as Pin Torx Dog Point Set Screws, are primarily used to secure two objects that would otherwise be prone to movement.
Featuring a Pin TX drive for medium security resistance, these tamper-proof screws are ideal for higher torque applications and suitable for use in permanent or semi-permanent settings – meaning they can be removed should future maintenance be required.
The Dog Point or Extended Point hosts a flat end designed to fit into a equivalent sized hole within the target surface. This allows the shaft to rotate without displacement and ensures the screw is correctly aligned during installation – achieved using a special 6 Lobe Pin TX screwdriver, wrench or insert bit.
When fastened, the bottom of the tip exerts compressional force which projects through the hole and locks the objects in place. 6 Lobe Pin TX Security Dog Point Grub Screws are often used as an alternative to dowel pins and can be found across wide range of applications and assemblies.
Manufactured from Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request. Available now in thread sizes M2 to M24 as standard, with non-standard and Imperial sizes available to order.
