6 Lobe Pin TX Security Grub Screws with Flat Point, otherwise known as Pin Torx Flat Point Set Screws, are tamper-proof security screws typically used to secure two objects together.
These components are fully threaded similar to a traditional screw, but instead exert compressional force through the tip when fastened. This force is used to hold the fastening object against the installation surface and prevent movement.
The Flat point helps to evenly distribute the compression force against the surface while minimising damage to the fastener and mating objects. It aligns well with ground flats and is suitable for use with soft materials.
6 Lobe Pin TX Security Flat Point Grub Screws are a great choice for higher torque applications as the Pin Torx drive will not cam-out when maximum torque is achieved. They offer medium security resistance and can only be installed using a special 6 Lobe Pin TX screwdriver, wrench or insert bit.
Available now in thread sizes from M1.6 to M24 as standard, with lengths up to 190mm. Non-standard and Imperial sizes are also available to order.
Manufactured from Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request.
