Security Tri Head Nuts (Triangular Head Nuts)

Security Tri Head Nuts, or Triangular Head Nuts, conform to DIN 22425 standard and host a deep, triangular head. The flange design increases the contact area to the connecting fastener or material.

These Triangular Head Nuts are ideal for use with matching Tri Head Bolts for improved security, but can be used with any bolt with a matching thread.

They are most commonly used with electrical equipment in mining, but can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres or applications with aggressive environments, depending on the material.

They require a special triangular key wrench for removal, also available at Fastenright. This unique feature renders the nuts tamper proof, reducing the risk from thieves, vandals or intruders.

Security Tri Head Nuts are manufactured from Mild Steel and Stainless Steel as standard, with other finishes and materials also available such as Steel Zinc Plated, Steel Nickel Plated and Brass.

Available from Fastenright in thread diameters from M4 to M20 as standard, with other sizes available upon request.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
