Anodised Finish Screws, Fasteners and Fixings
Components with an anodised finish are typically made from Aluminium or Titanium.
Anodising, or anodizing, is achieved using an electrolytic passivation process where the natural oxide layer on the metal surface is thickened to create an anodic oxide film.
This process provides corrosion and abrasion resistance which increases the durability and longevity compared to other plating or painting methods. It also prevents galling with threaded parts.
Anodising can be used to improve the aesthetics of a component. A clear anodised finish is often applied to maintain the original appearance, while a decorative coloured finish can also be achieved.
All products are anodised to order with relatively short lead times, in both small and bulk quantities.
